In Deep

January 4, 2011

After you find yourself afloat,

You’re  affronted,  for you’re in deep,

After you awaken, your bedclothes soaken.

The drink is thick,  and not cold,

Though in no way,  a comfort.

After you find yourself afloat,

You wonder where you were,

How far you’ve spun, & drifted,

                           &

How far away  she’s  spinning & drifting,

Her bedclothes & open arms surfaced around her.

In too deep.. I find it dreamy and melancholic. Beautiful.
