The Sediment (for tonight, long before the dig)

May 20, 2010

They’d discover drama in every shovelful

They’d find watered & fired contradiction

In their fine & finer siftings

Their staked out excavations

Would turn up evidences of friction

They’d turn over our dirt.

Maybe they’d make something of it,

                                            the sediment.

                                  .

                                  .

Moreover, for tonight,

To mull over,  To flesh out

Any Sturm und Drang thing out tonight,

Any ebb and flow about, I’ll go loud with all my might.

I maybe might.
